Reisdetails van Romereis V4
Omschrijving:
Op zaterdag 7 mei vliegen wij met KLM vanaf de luchthaven Schiphol naar Rome, waar wij ons tot 12 mei zullen vergapen aan al het moois dat de stad te bieden heeft.
Wij verblijven in hotel Acropoli in meerpersoonskamers met douche en toilet. De verzorging is op basis van logies en ontbijt. De avondmaaltijden zullen in de stad gebruikt worden.
De volgende excursies zullen zeker op het programma staan:
· Op zaterdag zullen we al een kijkje nemen bij de Spaanse trappen en de Trevi-fontein, één van de talloze fonteinen in Rome, maar wel één die je gezien moet hebben. Ook storten we ons die middag meteen maar op de rijke cultuur die de kerken daar te bieden hebben: we bezoeken de Santa Maria Maggiore en de San Petro in Vincoli. In elke kerk in Rome is wel iets bijzonders te aanschouwen en dat geldt zeker voor deze twee.
· Op zondag maken we kennis met het werk van Caravaggio in enkele kerken in Rome. Caravaggio is de Italiaanse Rembrandt, wiens werk in musea, maar ook in het “wild” te bezichtigen valt. Ook zullen we dan het beroemde Pantheon, het oudste klassieke gebouw in Rome, met een bezoek vereren. Op Piazza Navona vergapen we ons aan de Vierstromenfontein van Bernini en ’s avonds dineren we in een trendy Romeinse wijk, Trastevere.
· Maandag staat in het teken van het klassieke Rome met natuurlijk het Forum Romanum, het centrum van het oude Rome. Dit was de plaats waar de legers hun triomfantelijke intochten hielden, waar de lichamen van keizers werden verbrand, waar keizers werden onthoofd… Kortom, het machtscentrum van het Romeinse keizerrijk. We ontkomen niet aan een bezoek aan het Colosseum, een Romeins amfitheater. Hier vonden gevechten tussen gladiatoren plaats en vergaapte het publiek zich aan de ongelijke strijd tussen de eerste christenen en uitgehongerde roofdieren. Naast vele andere hoogtepunten die dag bezoeken we nog een kerk uit de twaalfde eeuw, gebouwd op een kerk uit de vijfde eeuw, die weer staat op een Mithrasheiligdom uit de eerste eeuw, veertien meter onder de grond. Dit is de kerk van San Clemente. Ook de Heilige trappen, de trappen die Christus beklommen zou hebben in het paleis van Pontius Pilatus, zijn een bezoek meer dan waard.
· Op dinsdag bezoeken we een prachtig museum, de Galleria Borghese, een hoogtepunt van deze reis. Alleen de prachtige beelden van Bernini maken een bezoek aan dit museum al meer dan waard.
· Op woensdag bezoeken we Vaticaanstad, het wereldlijke domein van de paus. Niet alleen de Sint-Pieterskerk staat op het programma, maar ook Castel Sant’Angelo, beter bekend als de Engelenburcht, maar ooit het mausoleum van keizer Hadrianus. Ook kijken we die dag door het beroemdste sleutelgat van Rome en klauteren we de Janicolo op, een heuvel met een standbeeld van Garibaldi, die de eenwording van Italië heeft weten te realiseren. Daar genieten we van een prachtig uitzicht over de stad.
· Op donderdag pakken we de koffers in, ruimen de hotelkamers op en maken we een laatste wandeling door de prachtige stad. We doen nog enige inkopen voor thuis of onderweg, genieten van een laatste Romeinse lunch en vertrekken vervolgens naar het vliegveld om de terugreis te beginnen met een denkbeeldige koffer vol culturele bagage.
Dit is maar een greep uit een overweldigend programma, waarin veel facetten van Rome en zijn inwoners aan bod komen. Niet voor niets wordt Rome de eeuwige stad genoemd, een stad die ook lang in onze herinnering zal blijven voortleven.

Reisdetails van Romereis V4
Omschrijving:
Op zaterdag 7 mei vliegen wij met KLM vanaf de luchthaven Schiphol naar Rome, waar wij ons tot 12 mei zullen vergapen aan al het moois dat de stad te bieden heeft.
Wij verblijven in hotel Acropoli in meerpersoonskamers met douche en toilet. De verzorging is op basis van logies en ontbijt. De avondmaaltijden zullen in de stad gebruikt worden.
De volgende excursies zullen zeker op het programma staan:
· Op zaterdag zullen we al een kijkje nemen bij de Spaanse trappen en de Trevi-fontein, één van de talloze fonteinen in Rome, maar wel één die je gezien moet hebben. Ook storten we ons die middag meteen maar op de rijke cultuur die de kerken daar te bieden hebben: we bezoeken de Santa Maria Maggiore en de San Petro in Vincoli. In elke kerk in Rome is wel iets bijzonders te aanschouwen en dat geldt zeker voor deze twee.
· Op zondag maken we kennis met het werk van Caravaggio in enkele kerken in Rome. Caravaggio is de Italiaanse Rembrandt, wiens werk in musea, maar ook in het “wild” te bezichtigen valt. Ook zullen we dan het beroemde Pantheon, het oudste klassieke gebouw in Rome, met een bezoek vereren. Op Piazza Navona vergapen we ons aan de Vierstromenfontein van Bernini en ’s avonds dineren we in een trendy Romeinse wijk, Trastevere.
· Maandag staat in het teken van het klassieke Rome met natuurlijk het Forum Romanum, het centrum van het oude Rome. Dit was de plaats waar de legers hun triomfantelijke intochten hielden, waar de lichamen van keizers werden verbrand, waar keizers werden onthoofd… Kortom, het machtscentrum van het Romeinse keizerrijk. We ontkomen niet aan een bezoek aan het Colosseum, een Romeins amfitheater. Hier vonden gevechten tussen gladiatoren plaats en vergaapte het publiek zich aan de ongelijke strijd tussen de eerste christenen en uitgehongerde roofdieren. Naast vele andere hoogtepunten die dag bezoeken we nog een kerk uit de twaalfde eeuw, gebouwd op een kerk uit de vijfde eeuw, die weer staat op een Mithrasheiligdom uit de eerste eeuw, veertien meter onder de grond. Dit is de kerk van San Clemente. Ook de Heilige trappen, de trappen die Christus beklommen zou hebben in het paleis van Pontius Pilatus, zijn een bezoek meer dan waard.
· Op dinsdag bezoeken we een prachtig museum, de Galleria Borghese, een hoogtepunt van deze reis. Alleen de prachtige beelden van Bernini maken een bezoek aan dit museum al meer dan waard.
· Op woensdag bezoeken we Vaticaanstad, het wereldlijke domein van de paus. Niet alleen de Sint-Pieterskerk staat op het programma, maar ook Castel Sant’Angelo, beter bekend als de Engelenburcht, maar ooit het mausoleum van keizer Hadrianus. Ook kijken we die dag door het beroemdste sleutelgat van Rome en klauteren we de Janicolo op, een heuvel met een standbeeld van Garibaldi, die de eenwording van Italië heeft weten te realiseren. Daar genieten we van een prachtig uitzicht over de stad.
· Op donderdag pakken we de koffers in, ruimen de hotelkamers op en maken we een laatste wandeling door de prachtige stad. We doen nog enige inkopen voor thuis of onderweg, genieten van een laatste Romeinse lunch en vertrekken vervolgens naar het vliegveld om de terugreis te beginnen met een denkbeeldige koffer vol culturele bagage.
Dit is maar een greep uit een overweldigend programma, waarin veel facetten van Rome en zijn inwoners aan bod komen. Niet voor niets wordt Rome de eeuwige stad genoemd, een stad die ook lang in onze herinnering zal blijven voortleven.

Reisdetails van Romereis V4
Omschrijving:
Op zaterdag 7 mei vliegen wij met KLM vanaf de luchthaven Schiphol naar Rome, waar wij ons tot 12 mei zullen vergapen aan al het moois dat de stad te bieden heeft.
Wij verblijven in hotel Acropoli in meerpersoonskamers met douche en toilet. De verzorging is op basis van logies en ontbijt. De avondmaaltijden zullen in de stad gebruikt worden.
De volgende excursies zullen zeker op het programma staan:
· Op zaterdag zullen we al een kijkje nemen bij de Spaanse trappen en de Trevi-fontein, één van de talloze fonteinen in Rome, maar wel één die je gezien moet hebben. Ook storten we ons die middag meteen maar op de rijke cultuur die de kerken daar te bieden hebben: we bezoeken de Santa Maria Maggiore en de San Petro in Vincoli. In elke kerk in Rome is wel iets bijzonders te aanschouwen en dat geldt zeker voor deze twee.
· Op zondag maken we kennis met het werk van Caravaggio in enkele kerken in Rome. Caravaggio is de Italiaanse Rembrandt, wiens werk in musea, maar ook in het “wild” te bezichtigen valt. Ook zullen we dan het beroemde Pantheon, het oudste klassieke gebouw in Rome, met een bezoek vereren. Op Piazza Navona vergapen we ons aan de Vierstromenfontein van Bernini en ’s avonds dineren we in een trendy Romeinse wijk, Trastevere.
· Maandag staat in het teken van het klassieke Rome met natuurlijk het Forum Romanum, het centrum van het oude Rome. Dit was de plaats waar de legers hun triomfantelijke intochten hielden, waar de lichamen van keizers werden verbrand, waar keizers werden onthoofd… Kortom, het machtscentrum van het Romeinse keizerrijk. We ontkomen niet aan een bezoek aan het Colosseum, een Romeins amfitheater. Hier vonden gevechten tussen gladiatoren plaats en vergaapte het publiek zich aan de ongelijke strijd tussen de eerste christenen en uitgehongerde roofdieren. Naast vele andere hoogtepunten die dag bezoeken we nog een kerk uit de twaalfde eeuw, gebouwd op een kerk uit de vijfde eeuw, die weer staat op een Mithrasheiligdom uit de eerste eeuw, veertien meter onder de grond. Dit is de kerk van San Clemente. Ook de Heilige trappen, de trappen die Christus beklommen zou hebben in het paleis van Pontius Pilatus, zijn een bezoek meer dan waard.
· Op dinsdag bezoeken we een prachtig museum, de Galleria Borghese, een hoogtepunt van deze reis. Alleen de prachtige beelden van Bernini maken een bezoek aan dit museum al meer dan waard.
· Op woensdag bezoeken we Vaticaanstad, het wereldlijke domein van de paus. Niet alleen de Sint-Pieterskerk staat op het programma, maar ook Castel Sant’Angelo, beter bekend als de Engelenburcht, maar ooit het mausoleum van keizer Hadrianus. Ook kijken we die dag door het beroemdste sleutelgat van Rome en klauteren we de Janicolo op, een heuvel met een standbeeld van Garibaldi, die de eenwording van Italië heeft weten te realiseren. Daar genieten we van een prachtig uitzicht over de stad.
· Op donderdag pakken we de koffers in, ruimen de hotelkamers op en maken we een laatste wandeling door de prachtige stad. We doen nog enige inkopen voor thuis of onderweg, genieten van een laatste Romeinse lunch en vertrekken vervolgens naar het vliegveld om de terugreis te beginnen met een denkbeeldige koffer vol culturele bagage.
Dit is maar een greep uit een overweldigend programma, waarin veel facetten van Rome en zijn inwoners aan bod komen. Niet voor niets wordt Rome de eeuwige stad genoemd, een stad die ook lang in onze herinnering zal blijven voortleven.

Reisdetails van Romereis V4
Omschrijving:
Op zaterdag 7 mei vliegen wij met KLM vanaf de luchthaven Schiphol naar Rome, waar wij ons tot 12 mei zullen vergapen aan al het moois dat de stad te bieden heeft.
Wij verblijven in hotel Acropoli in meerpersoonskamers met douche en toilet. De verzorging is op basis van logies en ontbijt. De avondmaaltijden zullen in de stad gebruikt worden.
De volgende excursies zullen zeker op het programma staan:
· Op zaterdag zullen we al een kijkje nemen bij de Spaanse trappen en de Trevi-fontein, één van de talloze fonteinen in Rome, maar wel één die je gezien moet hebben. Ook storten we ons die middag meteen maar op de rijke cultuur die de kerken daar te bieden hebben: we bezoeken de Santa Maria Maggiore en de San Petro in Vincoli. In elke kerk in Rome is wel iets bijzonders te aanschouwen en dat geldt zeker voor deze twee.
· Op zondag maken we kennis met het werk van Caravaggio in enkele kerken in Rome. Caravaggio is de Italiaanse Rembrandt, wiens werk in musea, maar ook in het “wild” te bezichtigen valt. Ook zullen we dan het beroemde Pantheon, het oudste klassieke gebouw in Rome, met een bezoek vereren. Op Piazza Navona vergapen we ons aan de Vierstromenfontein van Bernini en ’s avonds dineren we in een trendy Romeinse wijk, Trastevere.
· Maandag staat in het teken van het klassieke Rome met natuurlijk het Forum Romanum, het centrum van het oude Rome. Dit was de plaats waar de legers hun triomfantelijke intochten hielden, waar de lichamen van keizers werden verbrand, waar keizers werden onthoofd… Kortom, het machtscentrum van het Romeinse keizerrijk. We ontkomen niet aan een bezoek aan het Colosseum, een Romeins amfitheater. Hier vonden gevechten tussen gladiatoren plaats en vergaapte het publiek zich aan de ongelijke strijd tussen de eerste christenen en uitgehongerde roofdieren. Naast vele andere hoogtepunten die dag bezoeken we nog een kerk uit de twaalfde eeuw, gebouwd op een kerk uit de vijfde eeuw, die weer staat op een Mithrasheiligdom uit de eerste eeuw, veertien meter onder de grond. Dit is de kerk van San Clemente. Ook de Heilige trappen, de trappen die Christus beklommen zou hebben in het paleis van Pontius Pilatus, zijn een bezoek meer dan waard.
· Op dinsdag bezoeken we een prachtig museum, de Galleria Borghese, een hoogtepunt van deze reis. Alleen de prachtige beelden van Bernini maken een bezoek aan dit museum al meer dan waard.
· Op woensdag bezoeken we Vaticaanstad, het wereldlijke domein van de paus. Niet alleen de Sint-Pieterskerk staat op het programma, maar ook Castel Sant’Angelo, beter bekend als de Engelenburcht, maar ooit het mausoleum van keizer Hadrianus. Ook kijken we die dag door het beroemdste sleutelgat van Rome en klauteren we de Janicolo op, een heuvel met een standbeeld van Garibaldi, die de eenwording van Italië heeft weten te realiseren. Daar genieten we van een prachtig uitzicht over de stad.
· Op donderdag pakken we de koffers in, ruimen de hotelkamers op en maken we een laatste wandeling door de prachtige stad. We doen nog enige inkopen voor thuis of onderweg, genieten van een laatste Romeinse lunch en vertrekken vervolgens naar het vliegveld om de terugreis te beginnen met een denkbeeldige koffer vol culturele bagage.
Dit is maar een greep uit een overweldigend programma, waarin veel facetten van Rome en zijn inwoners aan bod komen. Niet voor niets wordt Rome de eeuwige stad genoemd, een stad die ook lang in onze herinnering zal blijven voortleven.

[description] => Op zaterdag 7 mei vliegen wij met KLM vanaf de luchthaven Schiphol naar Rome, waar wij ons tot 12 mei zullen vergapen aan al het moois dat de stad te bieden heeft.
Wij verblijven in hotel Acropoli in meerpersoonskamers met douche en toilet. De verzorging is op basis van logies en ontbijt. De avondmaaltijden zullen in de stad gebruikt worden.
De volgende excursies zullen zeker op het programma staan:
· Op zaterdag zullen we al een kijkje nemen bij de Spaanse trappen en de Trevi-fontein, één van de talloze fonteinen in Rome, maar wel één die je gezien moet hebben. Ook storten we ons die middag meteen maar op de rijke cultuur die de kerken daar te bieden hebben: we bezoeken de Santa Maria Maggiore en de San Petro in Vincoli. In elke kerk in Rome is wel iets bijzonders te aanschouwen en dat geldt zeker voor deze twee.
· Op zondag maken we kennis met het werk van Caravaggio in enkele kerken in Rome. Caravaggio is de Italiaanse Rembrandt, wiens werk in musea, maar ook in het “wild” te bezichtigen valt. Ook zullen we dan het beroemde Pantheon, het oudste klassieke gebouw in Rome, met een bezoek vereren. Op Piazza Navona vergapen we ons aan de Vierstromenfontein van Bernini en ’s avonds dineren we in een trendy Romeinse wijk, Trastevere.
· Maandag staat in het teken van het klassieke Rome met natuurlijk het Forum Romanum, het centrum van het oude Rome. Dit was de plaats waar de legers hun triomfantelijke intochten hielden, waar de lichamen van keizers werden verbrand, waar keizers werden onthoofd… Kortom, het machtscentrum van het Romeinse keizerrijk. We ontkomen niet aan een bezoek aan het Colosseum, een Romeins amfitheater. Hier vonden gevechten tussen gladiatoren plaats en vergaapte het publiek zich aan de ongelijke strijd tussen de eerste christenen en uitgehongerde roofdieren. Naast vele andere hoogtepunten die dag bezoeken we nog een kerk uit de twaalfde eeuw, gebouwd op een kerk uit de vijfde eeuw, die weer staat op een Mithrasheiligdom uit de eerste eeuw, veertien meter onder de grond. Dit is de kerk van San Clemente. Ook de Heilige trappen, de trappen die Christus beklommen zou hebben in het paleis van Pontius Pilatus, zijn een bezoek meer dan waard.
· Op dinsdag bezoeken we een prachtig museum, de Galleria Borghese, een hoogtepunt van deze reis. Alleen de prachtige beelden van Bernini maken een bezoek aan dit museum al meer dan waard.
· Op woensdag bezoeken we Vaticaanstad, het wereldlijke domein van de paus. Niet alleen de Sint-Pieterskerk staat op het programma, maar ook Castel Sant’Angelo, beter bekend als de Engelenburcht, maar ooit het mausoleum van keizer Hadrianus. Ook kijken we die dag door het beroemdste sleutelgat van Rome en klauteren we de Janicolo op, een heuvel met een standbeeld van Garibaldi, die de eenwording van Italië heeft weten te realiseren. Daar genieten we van een prachtig uitzicht over de stad.
· Op donderdag pakken we de koffers in, ruimen de hotelkamers op en maken we een laatste wandeling door de prachtige stad. We doen nog enige inkopen voor thuis of onderweg, genieten van een laatste Romeinse lunch en vertrekken vervolgens naar het vliegveld om de terugreis te beginnen met een denkbeeldige koffer vol culturele bagage.
Dit is maar een greep uit een overweldigend programma, waarin veel facetten van Rome en zijn inwoners aan bod komen. Niet voor niets wordt Rome de eeuwige stad genoemd, een stad die ook lang in onze herinnering zal blijven voortleven.
